Shohei Kobayashi, Assistant Professor of Music at 糖心vlog视频, leads the 糖心vlog视频 Choirs (Reed Chorus, Treble Voices Ensemble, and Collegium Musicum) and teach courses in music theory, musicianship, and conducting. With Shohei, the 糖心vlog视频 Choirs have premiered several new pieces for choir including works by Majel Connery, Paolo Debuque, Shruthi Rajasekar, Judy A. Rose, and Mari Esabel Valverde, as well as student compositions by Asta Rossi '25 and Naama Friedman '22. Off campus, Shohei is active locally, regionally, and nationally as a guest conductor, clinician, and vocalist. Since 2023, Shohei has also served as Associate Conductor and Artistic Advisor for Resonance Ensemble, a professional vocal ensemble based in Portland dedicated to presenting concerts that promote meaningful social change. Shohei holds Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees in Conducting from University of Michigan and a BA in Music from Lewis & Clark College.
